About Dr. Tin

Lancelot K. Tin, MD FACS FRCSC
After graduating magna cum laude from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island with a BS in electrical engineering and chemistry, Dr. Tin received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania. His surgical residency at McGill University provided extensive training in general surgery, bariatric surgery and surgical intensive care. He devoted his surgical research to morbid obesity during his surgical residency training. He has been in private practice since 1988 and furthered his experience in minimally invasive surgery. He is board certified, a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Toronto gastric banding specialist Lancelot K. Tin was been the Chief of Surgery at St. Charles Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, USA, for 8 years and the Chief of Surgery at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario from 2002 - 2007. He currently devotes much of his practice in surgical weight loss.
